It wasn't just hot across North Dakota on Friday, August 14th. In two major cities, it was actually record-setting hot!

According to the National Weather Service in Bismarck, both Minot and Williston saw record highs Friday afternoon.

In Minot, temperatures reached 101 degrees. The previous record was 99, set all the way back in 1937!

As for Williston, temperatures hit 104 degrees, topping the previous record of 103 degrees set back in 2003.

Temperatures are expected to remain high on Saturday, August 15th, with projected high in the mid-to-upper 90s, so we may see more records fall before the temperatures do.
