The possibility of accumulating snow and dangerous wind chills today, January 5th, have led the National Weather Service in Bismarck to issue a winter weather advisory for much of the area.

DAKOTA TODAY...

.DANGEROUS WIND CHILLS WILL CONTINUE ACROSS CENTRAL AND PORTIONS
OF WESTERN NORTH DAKOTA THROUGH THIS MORNING. WIND CHILL VALUES WILL
RANGE FROM AROUND 30 BELOW ACROSS THE WEST...TO 45 BELOW NEAR THE
TURTLE MOUNTAINS. FROST BITE CAN OCCUR IN 10 MINUTES OR LESS.

SNOW WILL MOVE INTO WESTERN NORTH DAKOTA THIS MORNING AND SOUTH
CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA BY MIDDAY. SNOW WILL DIMINISH ACROSS THE AREA
BY EARLY EVENING. STORM TOTAL SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 5
INCHES ARE LIKELY ACROSS MUCH OF THE WEST AND SOUTH CENTRAL. THIS
INCLUDES THE TOWNS OF DICKINSON...BOWMAN...BEACH...GRASSY
BUTTE...HETTINGER...MEDORA...KILLDEER...NEW SALEM...CARSON...FORT
YATES...LINTON AND ASHLEY.
