Besides oil, the biggest conversation in North Dakota is affordable housing. What do we do, how does one find it, what if you are a student, elderly person or person making under $50,000 a year in our community? Well the answer begins with you. The North Dakota Legislature has created the North Dakota Affordable Housing Incentive. The state needs to raise $15million to fund multiple affordable housing projects across our state including in Mandan, Devil's Lake, Kildeer, Williston and other North Dakota areas in critical need of affordable housing. The 2012 deadline to contribute is December 31st, 2012.

At this moment the North Dakota Affordable Housing Incentive is $3.7 million away from its $15 million goal. Contributors can be private citizens, private businesses or larger industries. Each contribution into the North Dakota Affordable Housing Incentive is a dollar for dollar state tax credit.
