The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) along with the North Dakota Highway Patrol have issued a No Travel Advisory for Bismarck, Jamestown, Valley City and surrounding areas.

Areas under No Travel Advisory due to blowing snow causing near zero visibility along with snow-covered roads:

  • Bismarck
  • Steele
  • Napoleon
  • Linton
  • Jamestown
  • Valley City
  • Edgeley
  • Ashley
  • Ellendale

Other travel warnings issued today include:

  • Northbound and southbound I-29 is CLOSED from Grand Forks to the Canadian Border.
  • No Travel Advisory remains in effect for areas west of Bismarck, Center, and areas in northeast North Dakota including Carrington, Devils Lake, Langdon, Grand Forks, Drayton and surrounding areas.
  •  A Travel Alert is in effect for areas south of Bismarck including Flasher, Selfridge and surrounding areas.

Motorists should not travel in areas included in the No Travel Advisory and should take serious precaution in areas with a Travel Alert as conditions are changing rapidly.
