With Primary season just 2 short months away, The North Dakota Legislature has started an education campaign about the new Voter ID law.

Under the new law, all eligible voters must show 1 of 5 acceptable forms of ID to be able to cast your vote in the Primaries as well as the General Election in November. They are:

  • A North Dakota driver's license
  • A North Dakota non-driver's license
  • A Tribal ID
  • A student ID certificate
  • A long-term care ID certificate

A voter education effort was launched on Monday by North Dakota's Secretary of State Al Jaeger, who is seeking re-election this year.

More information about the new law, as well as details on how you can get one of the acceptable forms of ID, can be found on the Secretary of State's website
