A group of former University of Washington students have created a new wristband that could lower the possibility of sexual assault among party goers.

The Vive is a wristband that is like no other. Once you're wearing the Vive, it syncs with an app on your phone (via bluetooth), as well as with your friends. Once it's learned that you've started drinking, it'll check in with out at random intervals which can be dismissed easily. If you fail to dismiss one of its check-ins, it will alert the friends that you've synced with.

The creators hope it will help reduce sexual assault by helping you stay aware of your situation, as well as helping keep your friends aware of how you are doing.

The Vive is still a prototype, but the creators are hoping that one day it will be commonplace among young adults
