Before Nicki Minaj got into her own Thanksgiving celebration, the "Barbie Dreams" rapper went back to where she grew up -- Queens, N.Y. -- and surprised the residents with turkeys for their Thanksgiving table.

Bundled up in a bright silver parka, Nicki walked around the streets in South Jamaica, Queens, on Wednesday (November 21) and handed out hundreds of turkeys to anyone who wanted them. While passing out 500 turkeys, she made sure to take photos and chat with fans.

And she also took a photo with New York City Police Department’s Commanding Officer Jerry O’Sullivan, which was later posted on Twitter.

"I think the Commanding Officer was negotiating to become Nicki minaj's new manager," the photo caption said. "Im pulling for you Inspector."

Following the event, Nicki shared her gratitude to those who showed up and expressed how much fun she had. "Mommy & I had a great time with y’all today. (Yea, that’s her with the hoodie on😍) Love all of you for coming out. @seanbellrecords & @bone_mbz + everyone who helped make this happen today, thank you so much. QUEENS #QGTM LOVE YOU 4 LIFE," she captioned the photo.
