North Dakota Governor Jack Dalrymple was named one of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump's 64 agricultural advisors on Tuesday, August 16th.

Dalrymple joins a list that also includes the governors of Iowa, Kansas, South Dakota, Oklahoma, and Nebraska, according to InForum.

In a press release posted on his official website, Trump had this to say about those named to his agricultural advisory committee:

The members of my agricultural advisory committee represent the best that America can offer to help serve agricultural communities.

InForum points out that this announcement comes as Trump tries to close the widening gap between him and Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

Back in May, Dalrymple stated that he would support whomever became the Republican nominee for president. That person, of course, ended up being Trump.
