Nursing Link which provides insights to those looking to work in the nursing field looked at the states that pay nurses the highest and states that pay nurses the lowest.

The best state to be a nurse is in California where nurses earn $25.45 per hour. Rounding out the top 10 is Connecticut where the hourly wage for nurses there is $22.62.

However, North Dakota made a different top 10 list; the top 10 lowest paying states.

In North Dakota nurses earn $17.60 per hour. South Dakota paid nurses the lowest wage of $16.35 per hour.
