North Dakota State Penitentiary on Lockdown

KFYR TV has reported that the North Dakota State Penitentiary is on lockdown.

An assault that caused the ND State Penitentiary to go on lockdown just before 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 9 is under criminal investigation. A state penitentiary official has confirmed that an inmate was assaulted but has non-life threatening injuries.

The penitentiary will remain on lockdown until further notice.
