The most popular shopping chain in North Dakota is the same in almost half of the rest of the U.S., and there's even one of their stores right here in Bismarck.

According to the location intelligence company, Foursquare, the most popular shopping chain in North Dakota is Target. This is certainly not a surprise given our eastern neighbors in Minnesota are where Target's headquarters are located. In fact, Target is the most popular retailer throughout the U.S. if we're going by how many other states it was also the favorite.

In 24 states altogether, Target was the most popular shopping chain in the country. Walmart came in second as the most popular in 18 states, including South Dakota and Montana.

The other three Targets in North Dakota are in Minot, Grand Forks, and Fargo.

Personally, I'm pretty satisfied with the fact that Target is the most popular in our state. Not only is there one here in Bismarck, but they pretty much have everything there. Whether it's groceries, clothes, housewares, entertainment, it's all there! My optometrist is even there and it has a Starbucks inside. See, they really do have everything.
