Northwoods League Projected to be Top Summer Baseball League in 2017
The Bismarck Larks are members of the Northwoods Baseball League. And this summer, we should be in for some pretty great baseball.
Residents in the Bismarck and surrounding area are gearing up for Bismarck Larks baseball. Their first game is on May 30th.
For those unaware of who the Bismarck Larks are, they are members of the Northwoods League which is a baseball league for college athletes. In other words, top college baseball players who want to continue to play baseball once the collegiate season ends, can potentially be recruited by a number of summer leagues and summer teams all across the country. Once the summer league comes to an end, players return to their college in the Fall to attend classes and then resume their collegiate baseball careers in the Spring.
There are a lot of summer baseball leagues for college athletes. The Northwoods League is just one of many. CollegiateSummerBaseball.com is the official outlet for those looking to keep tabs on summer baseball leagues dedicated to college athletes.

Long story short, we can expect to see some really good players come through the Bismarck area this summer. Many of those players will be members of the Larks. But many players will also be on the opposing team. Regardless, it will be fun to see these potential future superstars play right here in our backyard.
