Other NDSU Players in the NFL Draft

Haeg was a walk-on at NDSU and redshirted in 2011 but he was a lineman who was a part of all of the past 5 national championships that NDSU won.

Haeg is an athletic and strong individual but still has improvements to make. Draft experts however do feel that Haeg may get picked up in the 6th or 7th round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

Smith is not currently projected by any experts to get drafted. However, Smith performed very well at his Pro Day impressing scouts with his 4.5 second 40-yard dash time and his 39 inch vertical jump.

His coaches at NDSU have compared him to former NDSU CB Marcus Williams who had 6 interceptions with the Jets last year.

Williams may not get drafted but a couple of teams may be interested in bringing him in and having him on the practice squad for a little while.

Unfortunately for Bonnet, a hamstring injury forced him to be limited at his Pro Day. Right now one draft guide has Bonnet listed as the 13th best fullback prospect in this year's draft class.

It is unlikely you will see 13 fullbacks taken in the NFL draft but hopefully a team will express some interest during the spring and summer and give him a tryout.

Let's not sugarcoat this one. Lecompte is a punter. Punters rarely get drafted and there is plenty of competition for punters around the NFL and in the 'undrafted free agent' class.

However, Lecompte is technically a 2016 NFL Draft prospect and any team in need of a punter may very well look in Lecompte's direction.

According to ESPN, Lecompte averages about 45 yards per punt and has had some punts go over 60 and 70 yards which is pretty darn good.
