Even President Obama has had time to take notice of Carson Wentz's impressive performance in Week 1 of the young NFL season.

Tuesday, in an address to a crowd in Philadelphia, President Obama made mention of Eagles' rookie starting quarterback, Carson Wentz.

"Joe Biden told me, 'Barack, you gotta get on the Wentz Wagon.' I said I am a Bears fan," the president said on a speech carried live on multiple national news outlets.

The line was met with both laughter and boos, all in support of the rookie quarterback from Bismarck. The 2nd overall pick in the NFL draft had a stellar debut, going 22 of 37 for 278 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 29-10 victory in Philadelphia, over the Cleveland Browns.

Vice President Joe Biden was in attendance at the Eagles' home opener. Next up for Wentz and the Eagles is the Chicago Bears on Monday night in Chicago.
