The sad news of legendary singer-guitarist Prince passing away at Paisley Park has left the world in mourning. Celebrities like Jennifer Hudson, The Game and others have paid tribute the late musician. On Thursday (April 21), Rihanna remembered the late music icon during her 'Anti' World Tour stop in Calgary, Canada.

In the video, Ri-Ri pays homage to Prince with a brief speech of how he affected her music career and impacted her life. The 28-year-old singer then performed an emotional rendition of her 2012 hit single "Diamonds" in the Purple One's honor.

“Today is a very sad day in music,” Rihanna said before the song. “A sad day to music lovers, musicians, fans all over the world who lost one of the greatest legends, Prince. We will miss you. A lot of us have started making music and listening to music because of Prince, so right now I just wanna honor him, me and my crew, and you guys. Let’s shine some light to heaven for Prince right now.”
