It may be Yeezy season, but Rihanna is planning a storm of her own. The singer gave her Navy a brief listen of a new song called “Higher,” another possible track off of her highly anticipated forthcoming album, #R8, on Thursday (March 5).

After leaving her fans to stalk her Instagram page since her last post on February 28, Rih showed them the wait was over by uploading a video of the song labeled "Higher," which was playing from some sort of audio device. This song, which follows behind “FourFiveSeconds” featuring Kanye West and Paul McCartney, finds Rih flexing her improved and polished vocal skills.

“I just need your ass here with me / This whiskey got me feeling pretty / So pardon if I am impolite,” she sings over the piano-laden ballad.

Rihanna and Kanye West, who will executive produce her album, have been hard at work prepping for the release. We doubt she has any time to care about the news of Chris Brown’s 9-month-old daughter, Royalty. In fact, Rih is going so hard, rumor has it she is trying to have her new album out before 2015 is over. She apparently played 10 tracks for her label Def Jam to let them hear what she has in the bag so far.

The Bajan native also followed her 15-second Instagram teaser with a second accompanied by the caption, "5 am drunk off da whiskey with these two rockstars @officialkukharrell @djanser !!! These guys always hold me down even at the craziest hours! We've made every album since #GoodGirlGoneBad together! The family!!! One Love #R8."
