Today, the Seattle DOT in an effort to get ahead of an incoming snow/ice storm, decided to spray de-icer on major roadways to keep traffic moving once the snow started falling.

Just one problem though... the solution used actually caused one major roadway to become SLICKER, causing at least 12 minor accidents after it was applied.

The West Seattle bridge is currently closed as clean-up crews attempt to remove the solution and lay down a new de-icer that won't cause accidents.

I would love to hear stories of "oops" moments from your hometown. Email them and we'll talk about them on air!
