Dakota Access Pipeline protesters gathered on the Bismarck side of the Veterans Memorial Bridge on Tuesday, August 23rd before marching across.

Protesters began gathering around 1 p.m. at the Memorial bridge which connects Bismarck and Mandan. Those in attendance sang, prayed, made signs and spoke about the pipeline as they prepared to march across the bridge.

The Standing Rock Water Protectors and allies await the outcome of tomorrow's hearing in Washington, D.C. It is their hope that there will be an injunction to stop construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline.

According to the Inforum, there are roughly 2,000 more protestors camped south of the construction site along Highway 1806. This is approximately 45 miles southeast of Mandan.

We will continue to keep you updated on the Dakota Access Pipeline as more information becomes available.
