'Tis the season for thinking of others, and Vanessa Hudgens is doing just that, by getting involved with UNICEF. The actress recently filmed a PSA for the organization's "There for the Philippines" campaign, benefiting victims of Super Typhoon Haiyan.

Vanessa's inspiration for taking on the charity work? Her friend Selena Gomez!

"Selena loves working with UNICEF so much. She is just such a beautiful, stunning person on the inside with all that she does. I see how much she cares about the kids and how they've really touched her life," Hudgens tells omg! "I was aware of UNICEF and their amazing deeds and I was excited to take part, as well."

It was the crisis in the Philippines that prompted Vanessa to take action. "Typhoon Haiyan was something that really affected me," she says. "I am part Filipino, and I just feel like I have a connection there and I love kids. I dropped everything I was doing and rushed over and did the PSA."
