A quiet Sunday turned into chaos at the Minot Applebee's when there was at least one shot fired inside the restaurant and more fired outside.

Cpt. John Klug of the Minot Police Department confirmed that shots were fired in the Applebee's around 5:30pm Sunday afternoon and that no injuries were reported at this time. While Police only have 1 of the 2 persons in custody at this time, they do not believe there is any danger to the public at large at this time.

The restaurant remained closed for the remainder of Sunday while police continued to investigate the shooting.

Witnesses inside the restaurant say they heard the altercation start as a verbal argument at a table inside the restaurant that quickly turned into one man pulling out a gun and firing. From there, the altercation spilled out into the parking lot where at least 2 more shots were fired.

No information about either the shooter or the target is available at this time.
