Not going anywhere for a while? Have a Snickers! Because apparently, almost everyone else in the country is too.

The publication Insider recently visited the topic of 'The Most Popular Candy Bar in Every State' while using Google Trends to help out with the research. Of course, it is one of the most popular times of year for everyone to have a sweet tooth with Valentine's Day approaching in just a few weeks.

It seems as though there's one candy bar that is dominating the entire country and that is Snickers. North Dakota is most certainly included in the two-thirds (33 states) of the U.S. that loves the milk chocolate bar filled with peanuts, nougat, and caramel.

In fact, every contiguous state west of the Mississippi River, except for one, pick Snickers as their favorite candy bar. Oregon was the one exception. They like KitKats. I blame their hipster crowd for that. (Just kidding, hipsters. We're still tight.) Hawaii was the only other state that favored KitKats.

However, in the east and northeast portions of the country, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are the favorites of 15 states. Whether or not you consider 'cups' to be considered candy 'bar' is a whole different discussion altogether so we'll save that for another time.

Nevertheless, have a Snickers, North Dakota, because you're not you when you're hungry.
