The live shows kicked off this week on 'The Voice,' and Kat definitely stepped up her game to stay in the competition.

With Battle Rounds over, we're left with 5 members of each team. Unfortunately, only 3 can move on to the Live Shows.

We've heard from The Voice judges Adam Levine, Shakira, Usher and Blake Shelton numerous times concerning what they love -- and even a few things they don't love so much -- about the brilliant voices of the show's contestants. I had a chance to talk with Scranton, ND native Kat Perkins about her the journey that lead her to be a contestant on The Voice, working with Adam Levine, and how it feels to have a whole state cheering her on.
