Prince William and Kate Middleton's Royal Baby earned kudos from everyone all over the world, including those of us here -- you know, in that country that won the Revolutionary War -- and the royals issued appropriately and predictably polite, somewhat stiff statements about the birth.

Somebody thought they could heckle Michelle Obama. Somebody thought wrong. About 12 minutes into a speech the First Lady was giving for a Democratic Party fundraiser in Washington, D.C., a protester interrupted to demand that the president sign an anti-discrimination executive order. And that's when things got real.

The POTUS, Barack Obama, and his FLOTUS, Michelle Obama, were named the World's Most Powerful Couple by Forbes. No surprise there, but they were joined on the list by a slew of celebrity pairings as well.

Everybody in America who was planning on getting bangs this week is thoroughly miffed at Michelle Obama for stealing their thunder. People sincerely cannot stop talking about the First Lady's haircut. Even people who want everybody to stop talking about it are talking about it...

First there was Jackie O, nee Kennedy. Now? There's Michelle O. And not since Jackie has a First Lady's fashion sense and style been this discussed. Mrs. Obama nails it nearly every time, and at tonight's (Jan. 21) 2013 Presidential Inaugural Ball, she was a vision of loveliness in a chiffon and velvet Jason Wu gown in ruby red with a plunging back, cinched waist and delicate pleating.
