NBC didn’t waste time declaring its revived Will & Grace would return for a second season, raising the question of other must-see-TV series next in line. According to NBC brass, they’re next hoping for more 30 Rock and The Office, or perhaps even The West Wing.

Most everything we’ve heard from SNL Season 43 has involved those leaving the series behind, so there’s finally good news from up top. So long as our national nightmare persists, Alec Baldwin will be back in his golden wig to deliver that bigly famous Trump impression.

Once again, SNL finds itself off-season during some of the biggest political chaos in decades. The (remaining) cast continues to sharpen their impressions for fall, however, as Kate McKinnon revisits Jeff Sessions for a stop on Late Night With Seth Meyers.

We thought it down to the wire when word broke before the SNL finale that Vanessa Bayer would join Bobby Moynihan in leaving after Season 42, but it seems another departure went entirely without notice. Reports confirm Sasheer Zamata also took her final bow with this past Saturday’s finale, joining at least two others.

I don’t want to alarm anyone, but SNL’s David S. Pumpkins and Alec Baldwin’s Trump both debuted in the same season. I know! Things kind of took a turn after November 8, but Tom Hanks’ delightfully bizarre Halloween character debuted only two weeks prior, and now gets his very own Season 42 sendoff. Meet David S. Pimpkins!

Well, there’s no telling what politics will look like when SNL resumes this fall, but a season oriented around Trump was bound to send him off in style. So it was, that Saturday’s season finale called back to Kate McKinnon’s moving “Hallelujah” with a cold open paying tribute to the Trump players, including Scarlett Johansson!

SNL had Bobby Moynihan’s exit more or less written on the wall by CBS sitcom Me, Myself & I, but only hours ahead of Season 42’s finale, the sketch comedy series has another gut punch for you. Vanessa Bayer will apparently make Season 42 her last as well.

Whether or not there’s any “Spicey” left to parody by the time SNL returns this fall, Melissa McCarthy’s impression gave the beleaguered Press Secretary one perfect (and public!) sendoff. The ride isn’t over yet, however, as SNL releases delightful outtakes from McCarthy filming in NYC.

SNL isn’t always one to follow expectations, but with Melissa McCarthy hosting full-time after three Sean Spicer appearances, you knew they’d go all out. Watch McCarthy take Spicey to the streets in an elaborate SNL production setup for the weekend.
