Good news, Swifties! Taylor Swift has returned to the studio to start work on her fifth album and the follow up to the majorly successful 'Red,' which dropped last October.

T. Swizzle posted a tweet earlier this week to inform her fans that the process has indeed started. That digital transmission is below.

Swift, 23, will soon embark on the Aussie leg of her Red Tour, but she is making the most of every brief moment she has off the road by working on new material.

The country-pop crossover queen and Diet Coke pitchwoman has offered a glimpse of what she has planned for her fifth platter, saying that the only thing she can promise is that things will change a bit and that the final product will be different than what came before it.

“I think the goal for the next album is to continue to change, and never change in the same way twice,” she has said. “How do I write these figurative diary entries in ways that I’ve never written them before and to a sonic backdrop that I’ve never explored before? It’s my fifth album, which is crazy to think about, but I think what I’m noticing about it so far is it’s definitely taking a different turn than anything I’ve done before.”
