A recent study found that teens in North Dakota text and drive more than almost anywhere in the country.

The Journal of Adolescent Health recently published the study that says North Dakota has one of the highest rates in the country for teens that text and drive. According to the study, of 35 states surveyed in the U.S., North Dakota has the second highest rate of teens (58 percent) that admitted to texting and driving at least once a month at. South Dakota had the highest rate (64 percent) out of the states that were surveyed.

High school students that were 14 and older in the 35 states took part in the survey. A total of roughly 101,000 high school students took the survey conducted within the research.

The lowest percentage of teens that text and drive in the U.S. was in Maryland. Their percentage was less than half that of North Dakota's at 26 percent.

Regardless of what age you are or where you live, whatever you do, please DON'T text and drive.
