The 51st North Dakota State Fair gets underway this Friday
Unless you've been living in a cave, you know that the 51st North Dakota State Fair begins this Friday, July 22 and will go through Saturday, July 30.
The fair takes place at the State Fairgrounds on the east edge of Minot with hopes of more than 300,000 attending this year, just as they eclipsed that number last year.
It will last nine days and will be in full swing by this Saturday morning when the 35th State Parade kicks off. This year, the grand marshal is Major League Baseball umpire and North Dakota native, Gary Cederstrom.
There will be an abundance of carnival rides, food vendors, animal shows, 4-H exhibits, and especially live musical entertainment. The live concert schedule follows as such:
Friday, July 22 - Fall Out Boy
Saturday, July 23 - Billy Currington
Sunday, July 24 - LoCash
Monday, July 25 - Enduro Race
Tuesday, July 26 - Monster Trucks
Wednesday, July 27 - Old Dominion
Thursday, July 28 - Kenny Chesnesy (with special guest Courtney Cole)
Friday, July 29 - Jake Owen
Saturday, July 30 - KISS
