Ever wonder when the most miserable day in North Dakota is?

Obviously it's all relative. Some days are good days and some days are bad days. But a mattress website, Sleepopolis, managed to come up with a system to determine and all encompassing miserable day in each state.

They looked at two weather factors from 1980 through 2016. They looked at which day, on average, was the coldest along with which day had the least amount of solar energy... in other words, the day which had the least amount of sunlight.

Nobody likes cold dark days.

Well apparently over the last 36 years, the most miserable day in North Dakota tends to fall on Jan. 3.

That's pretty unfortunate as Jan. 3 is normally a terrible day anyway. Typically, it is the second day back at work after New Year's. So in addition to dreading being back at work on Jan. 3, you can also expect it to be really cold and really dark.

Have fun!
