In North Dakota, your dollar can go pretty far. According to the study, a dollar in North Dakota is actually worth $1.09. That value puts North Dakota among the states where a dollar has good value.

To compare where North Dakota stands, the report shows that in Hawaii, the value of a dollar is just $0.86 which is only slightly worse than New York where the value is $0.87.

The state where a dollar is worth the most is Mississippi where a dollar is worth $1.15.
