When you think of North Dakota, the first thing that comes to mind isn't necessarily a trolley ride. However, there's one that's not far at all from the Bismarck-Mandan area.

There is only one trolley in the state of North Dakota, and it runs through Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park in Mandan. It runs along a nine-mile track round trip and goes through several historical points throughout the ride.

Some of those historical points include Custer's home and On-A-Slant village along the trip, which can also be explored on the inside, as well as the fort and military post.

The trolley tours will run through the end of September. The park and trolley are just off Highway 1806, just 7 miles south of downtown Mandan. For more info, please contact the North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department.
