The Bismarck Tribune reports a McLean sheriff's car was involved in an accident which injured two, just east of Garrison Saturday afternoon. (9/23)

The accident happened at the intersection of Highways 37 and 83, six miles east of Garrison. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the officer was traveling east on State Highway 37. He had his emergency lights on and at Highway 83, the cop car crashed with a Ford F350.

The sheriff's vehicle ended up in the ditch, the F350, flipped and ended up in the ditch and stuck a light pole.

One driver had to be airlifted to a Minot hospital from the Garrison Hospital. Other drivers and passengers were transported to a Garrison Hospital from injured sustained in this serious accident.

As of press-time, no charges have been filed and the accident remains under investigation.

The names of those involved have not been made available.
