University of Mary senior Devan Douglas will be one of eight dunkers participating in the 28th annual State Farm College Slam Dunk and 3-Point Championships in Texas on March 31st.

Douglas becomes the first Marauder to ever be a part of the State Farm College Slam Dunk and 3-Point Championships, according to GoUMary.com.

Eastern Tennessee State's Deuce Bello is the only other confirmed participant in the dunk contest at this point. More participants are expected to be announced in the coming days.

Multiple future NBA stars have competed in the State Farm College Slam Dunk and 3-Point Championships in the past, including Gary Payton, Steve Nash, and Kyle Korver.

Douglas started 31 games this year for the Marauders, averaging nearly 10 points and five rebounds per game.

The 28th annual State Farm College Slam Dunk and 3-Point Championships, which will be televised on ESPN, takes place March 31st at 8 p.m. at the Berry Center in Cypress, TX.
