With an overnight rating of 9.1 and an estimated audience of 24.7 million people, the USMNT's match against Portugal in Manaus is the most watched soccer match in US history.

According to the data released by ratings company Nielson, 18.2 million tuned into ESPN for the English language broadcast, with an additional 6.5 million tuning into Univision for the Spanish language broadcast.

These total viewership numbers don't include the people who watched the match via the WatchESPN app, or the hundreds of thousands of people that watched the match at bars or one of the many viewing parties that were held across the US.
