Very cold air will settle in the region making the next few days the coldest of the season. The National Weather Service issued a WIND CHILL ADVISORY, Sunday night (12/28) through Tuesday.

This extremely cold air mass will settle in the region Sunday night and will drop the temperatures into the sub-minus range.

Wind chill values in the area will be minus 35 degrees. Frostbite and hypothermia is possible. You should dress in layers and do not have exposed skin as frostbite can take place in minutes.

Be sure you have warm shelter family pets and take the necessary precautions for livestock.

This WIND CHILL ADVISORY is in effect until mid-day Tuesday(12/30) and will effect all counties and towns in Western and Central NoDak including Mandan, Bismarck, Fort Yates, Jamestown, New Salem, Underwood, St. Anthony, Hazen, Center and Beach.

Light snow will continue Sunday with very little accumulation. Otherwise, this system is not much of a snow maker.
