Carson Wentz threw two interceptions on the first two Eagles possessions of the game and the Giants got the win 28-23.

Wentz got into a groove following the first two drives and threw for 364 yards total, a new career high for him. He completed 27 passes on 47 attempts and did not throw a touchdown.

The Eagles had opportunities to come back in the game including late in the fourth quarter but an incomplete pass to Jordan Matthews in the end zone which would have given the Eagles a late lead, sealed the victory for the Giants.

Throughout the game, the Eagles had the opportunity to kick short field goals on fourth down but Philadelphia instead tried to go for it. Two running attempts were stopped by the Giants defense leading to turnovers on downs.

Later, the Giants blocked a field goal attempt.

With the Giants winning by just five, the two times the Eagles decided to go for it on fourth down could be argued to have been the difference in the game.

The Giants improve to 5-3. The Eagles fall to 4-4 and remain at the bottom of the NFC East. Philadelphia is home against Atlanta next week.
