As you may know, I started working out with a trainer at the South Bismarck Anytime Fitness a little over a month ago. This is what I've learned so far. 

Working out has never been something I looked forward to. Sure, I like going for a walk or an occasional run, but I was never interested in joining a gym. Luckily, I was given the opportunity to work with two great trainers at the South Bismarck Anytime Fitness and my whole perspective has changed.

  • Confidence

    The confidence I've gained is so much more than looking better in a pair of jeans. As I mentioned in my previous blog, I was scared of the gym.

    I was so self conscious in a gym setting. I was worried what other people were thinking, what I looked like, and more. After one month in the gym I feel so much better about myself.

    Casey and Thomas at Anytime Fitness in South Bismarck have helped show me what I am really capable of. Trust me, it's a lot more than I expected. That alone made me feel more confident in myself. Not to mention, there is no better feeling than leaving the gym after a really great workout.

  • Energy

    I was a total caffeine freak before I started working out. I had a couple cups of coffee in the morning, probably another around lunch, and a diet coke or more coffee in the afternoon. It sounds a lot worse now that I'm actually writing it out.

    Overall, my energy is so much better. I still have a cup of coffee in the morning, but that's pretty much it. I love getting to work out in the afternoon because it gives me an extra energy boost and I can tackle the rest of my work day.

    I know, when you're tired you probably don't want to go to the gym, but it really helps!

  • New Friends

    It might sound cheesy, but I have made so many new friends this past month. The staff at the South Bismarck Anytime Fitness is so friendly and fun to be around. I'd highly recommend talking to the staff at your gym and getting to know them.

    I've made friends outside of the staff, too. For example, there are a couple people I've known for awhile but I've never had much of a relationship with them. Once we started talking about what I'm doing at Anytime Fitness we began making plans to meet up and work out together. I've also come to know some of the other gym members which makes going to workout that much more fun.
