About a month ago, Bismarck residents were shocked to turn on KX News and see the legendary Ron Burgundy set to deliver the evening news. As a continuation of his massive press tour to promote 'Anchorman 2', Ferrell appeared on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' last week to profess his love for Bismarck and discuss his visit to North Dakota.

Ferrell mentioned the "big news day" we had the day he visited, noting a warehouse fire and a Santa Claus beard growing contest (I'm sure that does a lot to break the perception to outsiders). Kimmel did ask if KX News made some sort of a deal with him when he flew to ND, to which Ferrell was pretty blunt:

Our deal was you can't announce that I'm coming on the show. We just literally want people to turn on their TVs and say 'what the f**k is going on?'

Mission accomplished.
