Today I was one of many who attended Wing Wars at the BSC Student Union, and I must say that it was AWESOME! There were six businesses competing for the best wings in the area: Space Aliens, Hooters, Famous Dave’s, Bruno’s Pizza, Buffalo Wild Wings and the Mystic Snack Bar. All had at least two flavors of their many menu selections, a BBQ and a buffalo.

The first bites I had were from Bruno’s Pizza. The wings were juicy, had a subtle sweet taste, a small kick of spice that wasn't too overbearing, and not too messy. I have eaten at Bruno’s before, but only went there for the pizza; now I plan on ordering some wings before my pizza comes.

Next up was Buffalo Wild Wings. I have had their wings on a few occasions, and they are always a go-to. The wings were saucy, sweet and spicy, and of course they were delicious…it’s one of their specialties.

I visited with Famous Dave’s and wasn't let down at all with the sample that I had. The wing was covered in finger-lickin’ sauce, juicy, and had a sweet and spicy after kick. Don’t ask me how that works, it just does!

Space Aliens “Wings from Planet X” were juicy, covered in meat from top to bottom, sauced, a bit spicy, and had a semi-sweet after taste. All-in-all I think their wings would be one of the top contenders.

Hooters were up next, and they take pride in their wings. They sent over about six of the Hooter’s Girls to represent their wings. The buffalo had that spicy taste that everyone loves. They were plump, juicy wings that were consistent with the wings that I have had in the past.

Last but not least was the Mystic Snack Bar. Not knowing what to expect because I haven’t eaten their wings before, I was surprised at how good they tasted. People could say all wings are the same, but not these! Their traditional with spicy BBQ sauce were tasty, their boneless buffalo were even better. Definitely some wings that might take the title!
