A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until noon Wednesday (November 28th) for the Bismarck-Mandan area and portions of north central, northwest, and south central North Dakota.

According to the National Weather Service in Bismarck, the forecast is calling for snow and a wintry mix for Tuesday evening into Wednesday.

While the Tuesday afternoon temperatures are steady in the mid-20s, the snow is expected to continue to fall until late this evening when the temperature is expected to increase towards the freezing mark which would make for the potential for freezing rain and a possible wintry mix.

The Winter Weather Advisory issued states that up to three inches of snow may be possible, as well as ice accumulations of about a tenth of an inch.

Wednesday's forecast calls for a chance of freezing rain before 11 a.m. tomorrow changing over to rain as the afternoon approaches.

We'll try to keep you as updated with as much information as the winter storm moves through the area. As always, please be safe on the roads in you need to travel anywhere.
