Wishing for a White Christmas? It Could Be a Brown Christmas This Year
In years past in the Midwest, we have not had a shortage of a white Christmas. This year could be somewhat different. Maybe a brown Christmas?
That's the latest from NOAA, as the weather service released the long range forecast for Christmas. According to NOAA, there is a 50% chance of a white holiday for the Bismarck area.
With only a trace of snow on the ground now, the area would have to receive significant amounts of snow for a white Christmas.
After all, this is North Dakota and we're still two weeks away, so as you know, the forecast can change quickly.
Head East for a guaranteed white Christmas. Minnesota, Upper Wisconsin and New York would be your best bet.
