A lot of people across the state of North Dakota are shifting their allegiance to the Philadelphia Eagles.

If you want to be an Eagles fan, you should at least try to learn a little bit about the team so you can sound a bit more knowledgeable when speaking about them.

First off, you now absolutely despise the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins.

Second, all Eagles fans are aware of the team's great moments in history. Here are just a few to get you caught up:

    Eagles Beat Dallas 44-6

    Dec. 28, 2008

Losses by the Bears and Bucs earlier in the day meant that the winner of this game between the Cowboys and Eagles would clinch a playoff spot. This was the final game of the regular season. The team that lost, was done for the year.

The Eagles got the job done this day, crushing the Cowboys 44-6.

    Eagles Beat Dallas in OT

    Nov. 9, 2015

Demarco Murray was one of the best running backs in the league when he was with Dallas especially in 2013 and 2014.

In 2015 he was a member of the Eagles and in his return to Dallas, he put his new team in position to win the game.

Ultimately, the Eagles beat Dallas in overtime.

    Miracle at the Meadowlands

    Nov. 19, 1978

The play that occurred at the end of this game on Nov. 19, 1978 is famously known as, "The Miracle at the Meadowlands."

It should really be called, "The dumbest play in the history of the NFL."

The New York Giants had the ball up 17-12 in the final seconds of the game. The Eagles had no timeouts. The Giants just had to take a knee and the game would be over.

Instead, QB Joe Pisarcik decided to try to hand it off to FB Larry Csonka. However, Pisarcik slipped, fumbled the football, and the Eagles Herm Edwards scooped it up and returned it 26 yards for the touchdown and the win.

    Miracle at the Meadowlands II

    Dec. 19, 2010

This was a more impressive "Miracle at the Meadowlands" in my opinion because even though the Giants were pathetic, it took a lot more skill and effort on the part of the Eagles to win this game.

With less than 8 minutes left to go in the game, the Eagles were down 21 points.

The Eagles went on to score four unanswered touchdowns in those final eight minutes. That final touchdown was a punt return by DeSean Jackson as time expired.

    The Body Bag Game

    Nov. 12, 1990

If a game like this one occurred in this day and age, there would be constant player fines and possibly and entire month and color dedicated to the events that transpired.

The Eagles beat the Redskins 28-14 but during the course of the game, 9 different Washington players had to leave the game due to injury.

After one of the injuries, an Eagles player shouted over to the Washington bench, "do you guys need anymore body bags?" That is how the game got its nickname.

    Michael Vick Throws 6 TD's

    Nov. 15, 2010

In this game, the Eagles were facing a former QB of theirs in Donovan McNabb.

Meanwhile on this Monday night, Michael Vick, the QB for the Eagles at the time absolutely dominated the Redskins as he scored 6 total TD's. Four were passing TD's and 2 were rushing TD's.
