While the world stays bickering on Twitter about who Zayn Malik's mystery Instagram girl is, the newly solo former One Direction singer is busy churning out tunes in the recording studio. And — at least according to one hugely popular DJ (who just happens to share the same name) — it's "really good."

“I heard something by Zayn and it was really good. I don’t know what people expect, but he sounds great," Apple's Beats 1 DJ Zane Lowe told UK tabloid Heat at the Apple Music Festival last week. "People will be drawn to his music in a different way."

Aside from a leaked cover of Rae Sremmurd's "No Type," fans have been eagerly awaiting the first taste of Solo Zayn's "#realmusic". But different how? For that, we'll have to wait and see.

At the same time, his former troupe One Direction recently announced that their fifth studio album, Made In The A.M., will be released on November 13. Rumors are swirling that he's planning to pull the trigger on new tunes soon, so the question is: Will Zayn release his solo stuff at a separate point in time, or is he purposely aiming to have a chart showdown with 1D?
