This super-sized five-minute extended sneak peek gives us new looks at Arthur Curry’s journey from being a son of the land and the sea (and Nicole Kidman, boom) to becoming the king of the ocean…but first, he has to bring Atlantis back to life (or something).

Tis the season for all sorts of spookiness, and in keeping with the holiday spirit, we have our very first sneak peek at the upcoming remake of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary. Or more specifically, we have our first look at Church — aka that darn creepy cat. Actually, he looks cuter than he did in the original film.

MY MAN director James Wan has revealed another official poster for his upcoming Aquaman movie, and in addition to teasing the arrival of a new trailer (coming tomorrow, YEAYUHH), you might notice something pretty interesting about that arm shooting out of the ocean — it sure looks like Jason Momoa will, at some point in the film, sport the classic Aquaman costume from the comics. I CAN DIG IT.

A Star Is Born and Venom are both hitting theaters this weekend, and despite the fact that all signs (i.e. early reviews) point to the former dominating the box office , Lady Gaga’s fans aren’t taking any chances.

MoviePass continues to suffer the longest, slowest, and most painful death in business history. Rather than admit defeat, the company is delaying the inevitable. According to an email sent out late last week, they’re still trying to trick former users into re-enrolling in their increasingly laughable service — by automatically enrolling them in a “test group” unless they choose to opt out.

There is a moment early in Suspiria when Tilda Swinton’s Madame Blanc ruminates on the concept of rebirths and “the inevitable pull they exert and our efforts to escape them.” Blanc uses this description in the context of Volk, a stunning dance production born from the harrowing World War II era of Berlin, but it’s also an apt way to describe Luca Guadagnino’s interpretation of Dario Argento’s stylish horror classic — it’s not a remake, but a rebirth or reincarnation, in which Argento’s old ways are forced to reconcile with Guadagnino’s new.

Let’s get this out of the way up front: Overlord is not, by any stretch of the imagination, a Cloverfield movie. There are monsters — both literal and figurative — and a sci-fi horror plot with a vague whiff of Lovecraft, but the latest film from J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot is entirely its own beast, for better or worse. Unfortunately in this case it’s the latter, as what was clearly intended to be a timely thriller fails to deliver on nearly every level.

Gareth Evans captivated audiences in 2011 with The Raid, a pulse-pounding action-thriller that showcased his fascination with Indonesian martial arts as well as an exceptional knack for editing and fight choreography. For his fifth feature, Apostle, the Welsh filmmaker ditches many of the elements with which his name has become synonymous in favor of a grim fable about a religious cult in the early 20th century. It’s solid enough, though you’d probably never suspect Evans directed it if his name wasn’t in the credits.

You are traveling through another dimension — again. But this time, Jordan Peele is guiding the way. In addition to producing the upcoming revival of The Twilight Zone for CBS All Access, Peele will now serve as the series’ host and narrator. The Get Out filmmaker debuted the first promo for the series, teasing a revamped intro featuring Peele’s narration over the intro.
