The Bismarck Bobcats are headed to the Central Division Finals, after they defeated the Blizzard 3-1 in Brookings Saturday night, April 23rd, to take the first-round series 3-1.

The Blizzard got on the board first Saturday night, when forward Griff Jeszka found the back of the net in the first period to give his team a 1-0 lead heading into the first intermission.

Unfortunately for the Blizzard, though, that would be their only goal for the night. The Bobcats scored twice in the second period, courtesy of Patrik Demel and Harrison Aide, and once in the third period, courtesy of Aide again, to take the 3-1 game and series win.

Next up for the Bobcats, it's the Austin Bruins, who dispatched the Minot Minotauros 3-1 to also advance to the Central Division Finals. The two teams split the regular season series 4-4.

Game 1 between the Bobcats and Bruins is Friday, April 29th, at the VFW Sports Center. The puck drops at 7:15 p.m. You can buy and print your tickets now at BismarckBobcats.com.
