Social media seems to be full of people giving you advice: what show's to watch, who to vote for, and ways to improve you life with just an $8.99 month subscription.

On Tuesday, the Bismarck Police Department shared some advice of their own to Facebook. Using the hashtag #TipTuesday, the Bismarck P.D. poked some fun at the expense of someone arrested for burglary at the unlikeliest location: the Bismarck Police Department.

You can't make this stuff up.

"Helpful tip: If you're going to try your hand at stealing from someone, the Police Department is probably not the best option," the police department's Facebook post reads. "Bonus helpful tip: You will be caught."

Noted, BPD. We'll be sure to keep that in mind.

The man, identified by police as Joshua Schmidt, was arrested and charged with a handful of crimes including burglary, criminal trespass, and possession of stolen property. He is currently being held at the Burleigh-Morton Detention Center.
