The annual International Powwow is a celebration showcasing “Champion” dancers and drums from across the US and Canada, competing for top honors. Representing over 70 tribes, featuring over 1500 dancers and drummers, and drawing over 20,000 spectators the Powwow has become a must-see event! Musicians and dancers from Ecuador will also appear.

Grand Entries: Thursday at 7 pm, Friday 1 & 7 pm, Saturday 1:30 & 7 pm, Sunday at 12 pm.

Admission: $20 for a weekend pass, or $12 for a day pass. Seniors (65 and over) and children (5 and under) are free. No advance admission sales.

Saturday: Parade of Champions starting at 9:30 am at the State Capitol Grounds. The event highlights American Indian culture from those attending the United Tribes International Powwow. All groups and individuals from the Bismarck/Mandan community and region are welcome to participate. The route is from Boulevard Avenue south on Sixth Street to Avenue C, west one block to Fifth Street, and south on Fifth Street through downtown to Kirkwood Mall, where participants disperse in the parking lot.
