Bismarck Bobcats -Win Or Lose Tonight- We Couldn't Be More Proud

I'm sorry, everyone, I couldn't wait until tomorrow to write this. I mean, yes, I know that there is ONE more game to play, ONE more challenge left in their amazing 2025 season. Many times over, I have been called "overdramatic" with some of my past articles, and I have to admit they are mostly right. This should be a movie script headed to Hollywood.

A brand new coach, and a group of hungry, talented hockey players

That's the recipe for an exciting team. When the cats hit the ice way back in September of last year, NOBODY except the players and Garrett Roth ( The coach ) had any vision at all that they would be playing TONIGHT for something they won 15 years ago - The Robertson Cup Trophy! Chemistry is everything in sports, how you and your teammates play and practice, how a new coach instills confidence, it all comes together at one point.

Turns out the one point was when they blasted through the season with their most wins ever

Finishing an amazing season with a 49-14 record. A franchise best. That's awesome, but to me, that isn't the most impressive thing about this team - they have never once given up when they easily could have. Let me give you some examples - in the playoffs, the cats were behind in all three series. The Austin Bruins need just ONE win, but the Bobcats won three in a row, two of them on the road in Austin. They came from behind after losing the first game of their next series with Aberdeen, and earned their number one seed and another trip to the Robertson Cup in Blaine, Minnesota.

A three-game series that would bring the winner to tonight's game

With all the pressure in the world being seeded #1, OUR Bobcats lost the first game Friday night to the Rochester Jr. Americans - here is where most of us would have had no problem if they came up short again - I mean, what an amazing season! So why not win the next two right? Nothing to it - calm, cool, and collective, that's exactly what the Bobcats did. Winning a thriller just a couple of days ago ( Sunday,  2-1 in overtime )

So listen up, Hollywood

The stage is set - tonight, the Bismarck Bobcats take on Lonestar at 7:00 pm - you can hear all the action on our sister station SuperTalk 1270 AM - WIN or LOSE, we couldn't be more proud of our Bismarck Bobcats!
