“There Is Nothing Free These Days”-I Beg To Differ Here In BisMan
When was the last time you heard that old expression, "There is nothing FREE these days"
I have heard it numerous times, and just when I start to believe it, I come across something like this:
"Free Wood Chips Available to Bismarck Citizens"
That's right, FREE as in it won't cost you a dime. There is no catch to it either; sometimes people get tricked into something FREE, but there is always a hidden turn, like they have to subscribe to something or other twists that will wind up costing you money. Well, you can relax now, this is FREE:
A press release from Bismarck Forestry came out with this today
Free Wood Chips Available to Bismarck Citizens
BISMARCK, N.D. - Wood chips will soon be available for free on a trial basis at two designated grass collection sites in Bismarck. The two locations will be at Santa Fe Ave & 12th St (Cottonwood Park parking lot), and at the Ash Coulee Water Tower. The Forestry Division will dump wood chips produced by tree work they perform at these two locations for use by local homeowners.
Piles will be replenished as work load and work location allows. These wood chips are not for commercial use, commercial contractors can pick up free single grind woodchips from the landfill. Bismarck residents also have the option to pick up free single grind wood chips at the landfill. Please bring a shovel to load your own wood chips.
As a reminder, tree branches and twigs are still not accepted at grass collection sites and should be disposed of at the landfill.

Remember now, there are STILL things out that are FREE. Never give up hope!
