Nobody will ever love you more than your mother.

Truer words have never been stated before. I sure hope all of our mothers had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday. I thought it was kind of sad when I heard how little some men actually try to do anything special for the moms in their lives.

I did a feature on-air Friday, asking the ladies in the Capital Region what the men in their lives had planned for them on Mother's Day. The word "Nothing" came up a lot. I was kind of shocked.

A little effort goes a long way, and your mother will certainly remember that phone call you made yesterday to wish her well. Not to mention, to thank her for all that she has done for you over the years.

North Dakota's Josh Duhamel made a post yesterday that caught my eye.

He thanked not only his mother but also his wife for all of the love and support over the years. He mentioned how lucky he is to have been surrounded by incredible mothers. Here's that heartfelt post on Facebook that Josh Duhamel shared on Mother's Day.

Duhamel was sure to include his wife, Audra, in his post. It's funny, when I used to ask my father what he was going to get my mother for Mother's Day when I was younger, his response was "She's not my mother". Even as a little boy, I knew that wasn't right. Yes, he was kidding, but still.

Here's to all of our wonderful mothers we have in the Capital Region, and how you have enhanced our lives.
