Dating Women vs. Men? Maren Morris Has Entered the Chat—and Oof, Sorry Boys
Maren Morris has thrown herself into the dating pool following her divorce from Ryan Hurd.
The "Girl" singer recently opened up about her post-divorce dating life on the U Up? podcast, and let’s just say: the emotional bar for men... might be in the parking lot.
Morris, who came out as bisexual last year, admitted that she finds it easier connecting with women.
"My experience has been really positive. But I also have a confusion sometimes because I can connect with a woman, any woman, within like two minutes, and we'll be talking about our childhoods... Like, we will get into it so quickly. With a guy that would take like years to get into that trauma," The 35-year-old said.

"But we're so good at building community out of sharing stories or gossip or whatever... It's a survival technique. We cling together out of vulnerabilities," she continued.
The issue she's having connecting with women on an "emotionally deep level" is that it becomes confusing if she's romantically interested or just wants to be friends.
"I sometimes have the hard delineation of romance versus friendship, because women can connect so quickly and easily, which is a magical thing about us," Morris told the host.

"But that's the comparison, I guess, to dating men, right? Because I've been there. It's like, I have enough friends. I think I'm good. I'm looking for something beyond that. But sometimes the chemistry isn't there. It doesn't depend, you know, on the guy or the girl," the mother-of-one added.
Morris and Hurd were married for five years before splitting in October 2023. The former flames share one son, Hayes Andrew.
